Wedding flowers for rustic and barn venues
Barns often give you a wonderful blank canvas to work with, but that doesn’t mean your flowers need to be rustic.
I can create floral designs that complement the natural character of the venue while bringing your own style into the day. Seasonal flowers, loose foliage and natural textures can look beautiful against old timber and brick, while more refined arrangements can create an elegant contrast.
Depending on the venue and your plans, we might look at:
- A relaxed floral arch or arbour
- Meadow-style aisle flowers
- Flowers for fireplaces, entrances and welcome areas
- Seasonal table flowers and centrepieces
- Urns and larger arrangements
- Floral displays for your cake or bar
- Bouquets and buttonholes that carry your chosen colours throughout the day
- Flowers for outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions
Any larger installation or hanging design would always be discussed with your venue first, so that we know what is permitted within the space.

One of my favourite parts of designing wedding flowers is finding the balance between the venue and the couple.
Your flowers don’t have to match your venue perfectly — they can contrast with it, soften it or bring out details that you might not have noticed when you first fell in love with the space.
A rustic barn might inspire loose, seasonal flowers and natural foliage, while a more refined barn setting could work beautifully with a fuller, more romantic floral style. Your colour palette, the season you’re getting married in and the atmosphere you want to create all play a part.
And because every venue is different, I design each wedding individually rather than working from a fixed formula.
